SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program)

Public Event · by redyugobandit

Tuesday, Sep. 4, 2012

SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program) EVERY Tuesday evening from 6-7PM. Financial Assistance in getting pets spayed and neutered and current rabies vaccination by the Humane Society of Wilkes (HSoW).

Program is INCOME RELATED so you MUST BRING PROOF OF INCOME so that the level of assistance can be determined. If you are on public assistance a Food Stamp (EBT) Card or Medicaid Card is acceptable as proof of income and automatically qualifies you for the maximum assitance. Also BE PREPARED TO PAY FULL AMOUNT DUE at time of sign-up as the humane society issues you a voucher to take to the local participating vet to pay for the procedure.

EXAMPLE: Person with income below $15,000 a year to spay or neuter either a cat or dog the total cost to you would be $25. Law requires all pets be current with rabies vaccinations so if your pet is not up to date then there will be an additional cost of $7 for rabies vaccination bringing your total to $32.

Do we need to bring our pet with us, or will we be taken them to the vet after we collect the voucher?
