SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program). Volunteer from the Humane Society of Wilkes will be at the Ronda Town Hall to sign-up people interested in receiving assistance in getting their pet spayed/neutered.
Assistance Program is INCOME RELATED so you must bring with you some type of PROOF OF INCOME in order to determine the level of assistance. If you are on public assistance a FOOD STAMP (EBT) CARD or MEDICAID CARD is acceptable as proof of income and will automatically entitle you the highest level of assistance.
FOR EXAMPLE: Person with income below $15,000 a year with dog/cat the total for spay/netuer would be $25 (a saving of about $100). Because the LAW REQUIRES all pets to be current with rabies vaccinations if your pet is NOT up to date there will be an additional charge of $7 for vaccination. Your total cost of spay/neuter & rabies vaccination would then be $32.
You must be able to pay the full amount at time of sign-up as the humane society will issue you a voucher at that time to cover the cost of the procedure. CASH or CHECKS ONLY. No credit or debit cards.
Regardless of your income level we can offer you some assistance. Person with income above $35,000 will receive a voucher good for $30 off spay/neuter at participating veterinarian.
