SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program) sponsored by the Humane Society of Wilkes in order to help low income families to Spay/Neuter their pets to help reduce pet overpopulation in Wilkes County. EVERY TUESDAY evening from 6PM-7PM at the Wilkes County Public Library.

Bring PROOF OF INCOME, or if on public assistance a FOOD STAMP (EBT) CARD or MEDICAID CARD is acceptable. Be prepared to pay the amount due at this time as we issue a voucher that you take to a participating veterinarian to pay for the procedure.

Program is INCOME RELATED: For example, a Person with income below $15,000 per year with dog or cat needing spay/neuter would be $25. Between $15,000 and $35,000 a year, dog $55 (less for cats). Income above $35,000 a year we can issue a voucher that will reduce cost by $30 only.

Rabies vaccinations are REQUIRED BY LAW. If pet not up to date there will be an additional charge of $7 for rabies vaccination.
