Phillip Shabazz, a poet from Cary, North Carolina is also an author, and a art teacher. Phillip Shabazz explores issues of community and culture in America. His work has been acclaimed by the media, critics, and audiences across North Carolina. He has worked with many colleges and universities including Duke University and App State. He will be teaching a free, in-depth poetry workshop for all ages at the Wilkes County Public Library on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. if you are registered for Adult Summer Reading you can be entered to win a prize.
