Paper Making with Local Plants with Artist Anne Murray. In this 2-day workshop, students will learn to:

- Prepare pulp from purchased “half-stuff” (fiber that has been partially processed)
- Identify characteristics of fibers that can be used for paper-making
- Prepare plant fibers: cattail, bamboo, lily, etc for pulp
- Form and couch sheets with both Western and modified Eastern techniques
- Introduce embellishments like embossing, inclusions, watermarks
- Introduce uses of handmade paper
- Create sample book of various papers and fibers to use as resource
