There will be an "Open House" at Black Cat Railroad Station on Saturday August 11th, 2012 from 10:00 am. till 2:00 PM and everyone is invited to come and have a good time watching and running the trains. There's fun to be had by all, young and old alike. For the tykes we have two Thomas the Tank layouts which they can run on their own. You will have to drag them out when time comes to go home and for the Young at heart we have a large HO Scale Model Railroad which can run more than 10 trains at the same time. We have loosely recreated the downtown area of the Depot, in the 1950's, of the Town of North Wilkesboro which will bring a little nostalgia to the "older crowd". As we are a non-profit organization there is NO admission charge, however, donations are greatly appreciated to help defray costs of operations and maintenance. We hope to see you all on Saturday next !
