Join us for a FREE Hands-Only CPR training session followed by a Disaster Volunteer Info session. Disaster volunteers are needed in Wilkes County to prepare, respond, and recover from disasters including home fires.
Learn life-saving CPR skills and how you can volunteer to help neighbors in your community.

Wilkes County Disaster Volunteer Opportunities:
In North Carolina, our Disaster Teams provide emergency response following local disasters like Hurricane Florence, Hurricane Michael and home fires, we offer access to resources for necessities such as food, shelter and clothing for families who have suffered due to disasters and emergencies. This time of year, where we see an increase in home fires and we are looking for good people and organizations to partner to:
· Serve on our local Disaster Action Teams
· Serve as educators for our Preparedness Education programs
· Volunteer as Caseworkers to assist families after disaster
· Host Fire Safety Events and install smoke alarms
· Open shelters and feed people during emergencies
Interested volunteers must be 18 or older. Volunteers must complete an online application at redcross.org/volunteer
