In 2008, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and Senator Blanche Lincoln led the passing of a resolution in both chambers declaring September as “Gospel Music Heritage Month”. Each year since its establishment, both local and global celebrations have been held to educate and entertain diverse audiences with the rich history and legacy of gospel. The library will feature Dean Carlton & Friends. This group consist of family and friends that attend different churches that love to be together and sing and give Praises to God. We ask that you come out to celebrate with us.
