Belk has went down hill ever since Kohls opened.

I went to Belk's back in September to get a pair of dress pants for my husband for a funeral. No selection of pants in his size and hadn't for a long time according to the man working the men's dept. The closest store that had his size was in Tennessee. That was the least amount of items in a Belk's store that I had seen in a very very long time. Won't go back to that store.

I wish they would have something in there besides African prints.

Vega, Belk does not need to "acquire" part of the old Penney space to expand. Belk owns the entire building & J C Penney leased from them.

Now I used to love, love...LOVE walmart!! But not any more.
In my eyes, since the passing of Sam Walton, the chain has never been the same. I continued to shop there until I just couldn't stand it anymore. And now... Well, I hate it. I only go there if I have to. Do I miss it? Yes, yes I do. I wish it were as it used to be. But alas, many things will never be.

I hope the the elections went well and that those elected officials are able to bring the much needed change that Wilkes needs in so many areas. It's rather a broad statement, I suppose.

And quack, I normally enjoy Belk's too! Always have. But there is absolutely no deletion in the boys department. None.

I don't like kohls. They have too much stuff packed into to small a space.

I have always like things from Belks. I usually get my shoes from them and slacks and sweaters.

What does the election have to do with Belk's? or are you saying our Belk's no good because times are bad.?

Both stores were way better before they moved off of Main Street. I can't remember which store had the kids section with the little shoe place. But I remember going there and there was always someone fitting my foot with just the right size shoe.

When I was school shopping, I went there to look for shoes and they had no kid shoes at all.
They have nothing to offer but dickies, I really like kohls. Jcpennys was the better store in that building.
I've heard we're getting a TJ maxx, I hope we do. Or Ross's would be great.

The manager there is an idiot and they send leftovers that don't sell from other stores. Only old lady styles there.
