Walmart. ..I can get a haircut, a sandwich, an eye exam, my nails did, an ice cream, tires for my car, and witness a real life "what not to wear" episode

If its ANYTHING like the one's in Fl. They only carry the Greater Value products. They carry very few name brand products if any, and yes it is MAINLY a grocery store. You know, I'm right up there with everyone not agreeing with Wal-Mart's key values, and I really do see your point about shopping the small home town guys, we really need to be supporting them as well. I fully see this point, but come on people, at least its more jobs than Wilkes has now. It's just like this new stupid theater that's set to open. Just how many people remembers ALL the theaters that Wilkes County has had over the years. Everyone of those theaters closed down over the years. Wilkes County would not support them. This leaving The Liberty going strong, and last time I was in there it smelled like cat pee! But really we need to support what comes in to Wilkes and help them grow, whom ever it be! ManyThank's, hope all has a wonderful day.

I have heard that rumor as well. But it would not be another "Wal-Mart" per say. It would be a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market. I understand why people have issues with Wal-mart but facts are facts, they are the cheapest place in town to buy groceries and maybe they will make Food Lion and Just Save rethink their product prices. I can easily go to Wal-Mart and purchase food items at $1 to sometimes $3 cheaper than the other grocery stores in Wilkes county. For me it's only smart to shop over there when I'm already living on a budget. I mean I understand people saying that it's important to give business to the small guys but I have to think about my family as well. I welcome a Neighborhood Market in North Wilkesboro. I still shop at the smaller guys when I need a few items here and there that Wal-Mart doesn't have. But if I'm going on a big shopping trip the only smart decision is to go to Wal-Mart. Also, a Neighborhood Market won't put Just Save and Food Lion out of business in North Wilkesboro. Just like any other place, they have folks that shop there religiously! But I must say I have to laugh sometimes when I see people leave Just Save with roughly $300 worth of groceries that I know I could have purchased at Wal-Mart for as least $200-220.

If it's true I wonder how much WalMart paid the town of N Wilkesboro to keep another big box store out. It Obvious that Lowe's has paid to keep home Depot out.

That new miracle anti-wrinkle cream has my foreskin in it and I listed OC as a possible test subject for the hemorrhoid shrinkage trials.

A Walmart or Dollar General Distribution Center would be better.
