Wine and the drinking of it is not a sin. But to let it dominate your life as many do, is putting an idol in your life and you are loving something more than God. Every bible I have read reads this way. My pastor talked a couple of weeks ago about a church that is being held in a bar. Some of the patrons even share a beer. It is not for us to judge other believers. Now if you want to talk the Baptist commision that is a different story. But as for being a Christian, that is between Jesus and the believer.

Your body is to be treated as a temple. I see many "christians" smoking in front of church before service. Many I have seen stuffing themselves after church, obese and not taking care of themselves. This is also considered sin so I feel that it is a personal prefernce if you want to drink alcohol...it's when you let alcohol or any substance take control of you then it becomes a sin. Just my opinion.

Perhaps the title of the thread should have been, "Who thinks it's a sin not to support our neighbors in the winemaking business?"

LOL, I have read in the bible that all men are sinful. That the things of the flesh are sinful, therefore alcohol is sinful. I could say more but I really need a beer.

As many on here have stated, the Bible is actually very clear: getting drunk is a sin; drinking alcohol is not.
