Topic: RUDE PEOPLE ON PHONE

You sure it was "gum" she had in her mouth?

calla_lily Posted 4:28 pm, 11/04/2009
Anyone who would behave in such an unprofessional manner should be fired on the spot! The customers are who actually pay her wages, and such rudeness seems a bit out of touch with that reality! If a person who represents the business acts like that on the phone, they will drive away business, and thus should not be a part of that business's workforce! There are PLENTY of organized, poised, well-trained people who would love to have that job and would be great at it. How about informing her employer so that someone who would appreciate the job could have it?

I have a strong business background and have worked for a very well know business - that is world wide. The last company that I worked for here in Wilkes County - the office manger told me - she always multi-tasked when anyone called her on the phone and for me not to spend time with out clients when they call in - to do other things while they are on the phone and just say "yes, uh huh" everyone once in a while to make them think I was listening - OMG - I could never do it. The clients/customers who call into a business are the ones who are important. Also, I never slammed the phone down. I have talked to many people here in Wilkes and when the conversation was over the other party slammed the phone down to the point it hurt my ears - no one should ever do that. It just shows how angry and hateful that person is - very bad for a business.

Seriously? She was that un-professional. Yeah, I would have to call back and speak to the business owner about her telephone skills, or the lack there of.

PinaColada Posted 1:43 pm, 11/04/2009
Why didn't you call back and give her proper telephone etiquette when answering a customer's call?

skitterjoe Posted 1:40 pm, 11/04/2009
