uncledaddy Posted 04:23 am, 11/05/2009
I talk to my goats.

happyathome Posted 06:24 am, 11/04/2009
I do not like doors being left open unless it's the front door to the house. Another thing that aggravates the living he!! out of me is when the kids or husband takes their socks off, throws them in the dirty clothes, but leave the sock inside out, therefore requiring me to put my hand down into the sock to fix it before washing. I get so mad when they do that I start yelling at them. LOL!!

RadioGiant Posted 02:23 am, 11/04/2009
I'm not terrified of razor-blades, but I do hate to see large knives laying out on the counter. I keep imagining something terrible happening. They MUST be put away...and quickly!

Daddy P Posted 01:30 am, 11/04/2009
Eugenia I am glad I am not the only one with the television thing.

Is anyone as terrified of razor blades than I am?

RadioGiant Posted 10:11 am, 11/03/2009
Wait...you take your clothes off before putting them in the washer? Then how do you get clean?

mousekn Posted 10:10 am, 11/03/2009
once socks come off the feet they CAN NOT go back on before they are washed,i have to get a clean pair..
my clothes have to have downy put in them,if i miss putting it in the rinse cycle,i will turn it back ,i cant use the dispenser on the top of the washer,i have to see it go in...

RadioGiant Posted 08:26 am, 11/03/2009
Ain't it the truth, Brother. And I apologize (kind of) for saying the truth was "screwed" when you spoke in another thread.

We kind of get heated sometimes, and forget we're neighbors. My bad!

skitterjoe Posted 08:19 am, 11/03/2009
RADIO, THAT IS VERY UNDERSTANDABLE. A CLOSE AND DEAR FRIEND OF MINE (2ND DADDY) WENT TO THE DOC FOR HIS PHYSICAL. AND WAS GIVEN A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH. 4 DAYS LATER HE WAS DEAD.

WE ARE NOT PROMISED ANOTHER SECOND. SO I TRY TO LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLIST. ITS A ONE WAY TRIP.

RadioGiant Posted 08:10 am, 11/03/2009
Amen, Skitter. Maybe that's why I just said "screw it" years ago, and gave up on many of mine. When someone else shares your space, their ideas get merged with yours, and organization goes out the window!

I do have a new phobia, however. My mom earlier this year was suffering with back pain. The doctors thought it was because of hip surgery she had a few years ago. In April she had surgery to remove the screws that had held the bones together. It didn't help. In fact the pain got worse.

In late May, she checked into the hospital for tests. On June 1st we found out the cause of her pain...advanced cancer that had spread throughout her body. She was told she had 6-9 months to live. She barely had more days than that. Mom died on June 15.

Since then, I have been kind of terrified to go to the doctor, even the dentist. I still go (went least week for blood work and a general checkup), but I'll probably have "phobias" from the experiences of this year for the rest of my life.

dixiedarlin69 Posted 08:08 am, 11/03/2009
thats the only thing im weird about that and my hands feeling very clean but thats just bc im a clean person, my friends and my family think its weird but they dont do my laundry so im not worried about it i just like to have a very clean bed

skitterjoe Posted 08:04 am, 11/03/2009
EVERYTIHING HAS TO BE PUT AWAY AND EVERYTHING HAS A PLACE.

WELL THAT IS HOW IT WAS!!!!

TWO KIDS AND A WIFE. YOU CAN FORGET THAT CRAP. I WOULD HAVE A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN. IF I TIRED TO KEEP OUR HOUSE LIKE I DID WHEN I WAS SINGLE.

RadioGiant Posted 08:04 am, 11/03/2009
Dixie every other night seems excessive, but nothing feels better than clean, cold sheets and pillowcases! That's NORMAL, I think!

dixiedarlin69 Posted 07:53 am, 11/03/2009
i have to change my bed sheets every other night i cant sleep on the same sheets more than two nights, they just start feeling grimey and nasty and icky.

lightningkat Posted 07:47 am, 11/03/2009
i have to have all doors shut in the house. Cabinet, closet, bedroom, bath, they all must stay closed. Surface areas must be kept neat and organized. I sweep my garage out on a regular basis. Oh and mom has an old roll top desk my uncle made for her, can't stand seeing the top up unless they are working at it. Beautiful desk but very cluttered as desks tend to be. Then all clothes must be neatly folded in their drawers. I actually took the kids dressers out of their room to keep them out of their drawers. They now are sitting in the laundry room Across from the washer/dryer. Hubby says I stress to much but then again when do have 5 kids and I want things took care of to last. Don't have the money to replace things

brushymtnc Posted 07:39 am, 11/03/2009
I have to many OC traits to list. hand washing, cant stand dishes in the sink, not even a fork or spoon. Bedroom has to be totally dark. I put black tape on Led's turn the clock around backwards.

RadioGiant Posted 07:24 am, 11/03/2009
I may not do multiple-checks on locks, switches, etc. any more, but I still have my odd quirks.

When I get a beverage at a fast-food joint, I rotate the lid until the litle divets on top are aliigned with the seam down the side of the cup. It must be symmetrical!

If there are ten magazines on a coffee table, seven in one stack, three in another, I'll rearrange them until there are five in each. If there's a difference in size, they must go in descending size as you go up the stack.

Despite this, my desk is a mess. I'm sure to anyone else it would seem to be totally disorganized. Wrong. I know where everything is.

Bushman Posted 06:50 am, 11/03/2009
Will not sleep in a completely dark room ,has to have something with light on it ,a clock or radio.ect.Have to play radio and have ceiling fan on at night .
If the power go off I freak out at night ,had a generator installed that takes care of it.
Don't like other peoples cooking ,trust my own more .Will eat out but very seldom.

applepie Posted 06:49 am, 11/03/2009
I can't stand to see a cabinet door or a closet door left standing open.

Eugenia_Victoria Posted 06:40 am, 11/03/2009
I don't like a television out in the main room either. We have the television in a back bedroom that has been converted to a tv room. We may watch 30 minitues of television a day. Neither of us like it very much, and we couldn't stand having it out in any of the main living areas.

Call me an old lady but I like the console television...you can't put a lamp and a doilie on a flat screen or wall mounted television. People always laugh but that's just how I roll...

Natural_Disaster Posted 04:59 am, 11/03/2009
If i had a formal living room and a den..I would probably want to hide the tv in the living room (if i put one in there) if special company came over..but not the one in the den.
My cousin had a cabinet in the living room that had a shelf that slid in and out with the tv on it and then doors that closed...It stayed open 99% of the time, but on the rare occasion they closed it, it looked like a closet in the living room lol.
I guess it would be good for homework and dinner time though..no one sneaking the remote and turning it on!
