I just now got on to see the replies so thank you all very much for your help. I guess I'll try ebay first and then maybe try the place mentioned. Thanks again!

thats true radio, card are hard to sell right anywhere,if you are looking to make a lot of money,i look at some of my cards that i want to sell and maybe half what they was 2 years ago,so im holding on to mine for now.

RadioGiant Posted 03:56 am, 11/03/2009
It might take more patience, but you could probably do better selling them on Ebay, especially if some are rare.

With a traditional store, your "reach" is only as broad as the people from the neighborhood who stop in from time to time. It's obviously much greater on Ebay. Anybody specifically looking for baseball cards. is likely to find what you're offering.

Yes, it is a business.
That is what I was explaining. Dont get butt hurt if he offers you a low ball price because he will need resell them.
I wasn't knocking him for buying low and selling higher.

BlueRidgeGuy Posted 01:39 am, 11/03/2009
"Remember he would only buy them if he could resell them."

Business.

Nuff said.

Ringo Posted 01:37 am, 11/03/2009
It is still there. Browns Ford Sportscards.
The owner will tell you if they are junk or not. He is honest but also a dealer so if he wants to buy them then they are worth at least double and probably triple what he is offering. Remember he would only buy them if he could resell them. I am not knocking him, just stating an opinion based on experience.

Forever Cynic Posted 01:29 am, 11/03/2009
There used to be a place near the spillway that specialized in baseball cards. I don't know if they're still there, though.

Ringo Posted 12:26 am, 11/03/2009
Look them up on Ebay. If you have a Ebay account you can look at the completed auctions and that will give you a good idea of how much they are worth.
Don't let someone message you and try to scam you out of them. I don't know if you have anything of value but youre better safe than sorry.

littlemama08 Posted 11:54 pm, 11/02/2009
Which pawn shop would be the best place to take some old baseball cards and other types of cards to in order to see how much they are worth (if anything)? And if not a pawn shop where else can I take them? I've looked online but can't really find anything that helps me. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
