We are having a toy run and food drive for those people in Wilkes who need a little help in these hard times. I was wondering how many of you would be willing to donate something if I could sit downtown Sat for a few hours. Or if you have some things you would like to donate I might could set up a time when I could pick them up from you. I know these people and kids would love to have a nice Christmas this year. To me there is nothing as sweet as the smile of a child and I want to make sure as many as possible have a good one this year so I am donating some old toys food goods and some of my time to make sure they do. I hope some of you look at how blessed you are and find it in your heart to do the same Thanks.

I think that Hope, Salvation Army and all these organizations do an excellent job, especially at Christmas for children, but let's not forget that GW Christmas is also going on. This is for children for our GW family. I know for a fact that there has not been enough toys, clothes, etc. donated for the amount of children on the list. If any of you have slightly used toys, clothes, etc. please get in touch with Natural Disaster. She started this for GW families since Christmas in Wilkes closed this year. Here is the link for the thread for this good cause if you haven't heard about it. It also tells what has been asked for, but the particular items that have been requested don't necessarily have to be given, we just want all the children on this list to be able to have something for Christmas this year. Times are rough and so many families can't afford to buy for their children this year. Please help our GW family too, if you can. As they say, charity begins at home....well I feel that GW is our home away from home

Proud Nana, I know that Natural Disaster is **** and she has a heart of gold but I want to know how she is going to screen screen names so someone getting clothes and toys they don't need.
I think an Organization is the way to give. They have safety nets so undeserving people don't par take in free clothes and toys. Press on but it is to much for one person to do. The thought was good but I personally think she should turn off what she has to and organization.

Jason, I only told the truth. You can google me and back in Dec. this is what she posted. Why is it that she can post those things about me but I can't post what she posted. No I don't want to send her a private e-mail. I don't especially like people that lie about me and themself. Enought said.

I'm not sure about the post you're referring to from a year ago. If she accused you of something that you had already posted yourself, though, then it would not have been libel. In comparison, your post was accusing her of immoral activity without proof, which would be libel.

For a better explanation, please email or PM the thread to me.

In addition, it had nothing to do with the topic of this thread.

Well then, Jason, I am glad you removed it. I will just stay away from her posting and then we will have no problem.

Guys what has this got to do with helping kids out at christmas,I for one will take and do what i can to help these folks out for the toy run that they are having,i know it stays in wilkes for the kids. You all should be ashamed to get on here and start this on a post like this one Jason should block you all, I do know that the ladys of the church does screen the people to make sure they do need help,so for one time lets all pull together and make the kids a happy christmas.

I agree Redone, and I hope you don't think that I had anything to do with attacking any organization that helps children at Christmas. I too personally try to do anything I can to help children to have a much merrier Christmas as possible. I know that most organizations do screen to make sure that people don't scam them, and I'm sure there might be some even on GW that might try to do this, but SO WHAT. If having a toy and clothing drive for our GW families so that their CHILDREN can have a better Christmas, I don't see why anyone has to get on here and bash someone for doing it. Yes, it is a big thing that ND has taken on, but she has had many offers from our GW family to help her out. She won't be doing this all by herself. Have you offered to help out Quack???

I'm not going to bash you Quack for what you said, but I would like to say that you must not have children. If so, you might open your heart a little more and be a little more understanding that maybe some parents do scam organizations, but maybe their intentions are good so that their children might have a little more for Christmas. Besides NO ONE that has requested help has asked for MONEY. They have only asked for toys and some have asked for clothes. There was a couple people that asked for food for Christmas...so what is the big deal anyway???? I should think Quack that you would be happy that someone has taken on this big undertaking for the place where you SPEND THE BETTER PART OF THE DAY ON....so yes, let's all pull together so that less fortunate children can have a happy Christmas.
