Bumping this up!For everyone on the list..if you havent heard from me, its because i havent gotten any items that were appropriate for the age or gender of your kids. I am only getting a couple of items at a time and those are few and far between, so its possible that i may be able to get one or two items to some of you, but more than likely i wont be able to give you items for each of your kids....and wont get to every family on the list. I do apologize. I just wanted to let everyone know so you dont rely soley on gowilkes if you have any other options. For those who are still wanting to donate..I suggest buying for the younger kids first. I dont want to leave anyone out..but especially the younger ones who wont understand why they dont have anything to open. What we need most right now is toys for boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 10.

This is really too bad. You would HOPE that the person who did this, did it by accident. Perhaps they grabbed the wrong bag of stuff to donate. It happens. For someone to do it on purpose isn't right at all.

Even though this galant effort on Natural Disaster's part has been somewhat tainted...
she still is taking donations. Donations of gently used or new items.

That is pretty bad. I always go through the things I give one bag for give and a bag for trash. I would never give something that is not in good condition. I got some really nice toys for the nieces and nephews off here for christmas they don't care if toys are used as long as the are what they like and it is new to them that is the only way I will be able to buy for everyone this year. Bf's niece wanted a hannah montana comforter couldnt afford the $40 but got a new condition one for $5 off here. As long as they dont look used I dont mind used and neither do any of the kids I buy for as long as they got something to open christmas morning.

Well, like I said I just can't fathom it. It boggles my mind, but I know it does happen because I have seen it happen having worked at organizations that take donated items. We would have people come in and say they had brought some wonderful items and you could just see the pride in their face at how they felt about donating to a good cause. They would leave and I would go through the bags to make sure it was good stuff appropriate to donate to someone. The stuff would be junk and we would have to put it out as garbage pickup. I would wonder how that person could have possibly thought this was good stuff. I knew they did because of their face and the fact they had to know we went through the items to distribute them to people. Anyway, it is just astounding and that is why I always buy new items when I donate for children's Christmas. I want them to have something new because I know what is considered junk is subjective to everyone and I don't want a child to be disappointed and wonder why someone gave them a horribly used toy or outfit for Christmas. But don't get me wrong....sometimes junk is just junk and there is nothing subjective about it.
Natural I will pm you when I get something. You are a good lady for doing this.
