This thread says more about the employees than the employer. This is the mindset of America. Do not do anything to improve your life instead do nothing and wait for someone else to give you the world on a silver platter. Hate your job hate your pay? Don't make an effort to get a better job. Complain because it's easy. Beg the government for a raise in minimum wage because it's easier for them to give you a raise than for you to get a better job. It takes a lazy person to work a dead end job for years instead of making an effort to find a better one. Instead of complaining go one mile down the road and you will find something called a college. The government will provide grants to poor students but they will not give you a piggy back ride down the sidewalk. I'm going to start a company that sells excuses because in Wilkes I will not have a labor shortage of qualified workers.

unfortanally yes i dont give a **** about wilkes co im here for work only i leave wilkes on weekends nothing here to do

This town will survive if Tyson shut down. We survived the closing of the race track, the closing of the furniture factories and many other business. We ARE SURVIVORS, and we will always make it!!
Tyson only has you by the balls if you let them, its your own fault for giving them control over your life. Stop complaining and get another employer, or start your own business.

You need to read the history of Russia China North Korea and so on. If you can comprehend what living under big brother "the government" is like you wouldn't make that statement. If a capitalist economy which is driven by profits turns to manufactures in nationalized countries because they can buy goods from them cheaper than they are produced here then how do think the workers are treated that make said goods? These countries pay the same price for raw materials which a majority like steel come from the U.S. so they make up for it by making workers work real long hours for little to nothing. People knock our economic system but they never take a good look at the alternative.
