It would be nice if Jason would kill this thread since the overwhelming majority of people have agreed Toad's is a very reputable company with good people. Still, someone that doesn't read the thread may come away with a negative opinion of them based on the name of the thread alone. Small business bashing is way to prevalent on here and I think before a business name can be broadcast so negatively based on one persons opinion there should be something more warranted than the sole opinion of an individual. Wilkes needs to try to protect the few remaining small businesses that actually do a wonderful job in my opinion. I really like GW, but sometimes the business bashing gets to me. I had a business in Wilkes for 25 years and it's sad just trying to make it when anyone can publicly trash you so easily. I know I'm dreaming and I think Jason does a great job with the site. Perhaps have the names removed of the businesses and let people share their opinions based on events, etc.? I really wonder how more people aren't sued for libel or slander on here

The OP is full of it! Toads Garage and Towing is an excellent outfit. They do good work, they are dependable when you need towed. Years ago, I got stranded, car broke down, I had no money on me, they towed my car and repaired it, I paid them when I got paid. Not many places would do that and maybe none today. I've called several towing places back in the day, Yea sure we'll be there in a few minutes and never show up! Toads always came, day or night, good weather or bad, they never left me standing on the side of the road!

I love these guys! They are not shady at all and my guess is, they are just doing their job.

My son went to school with Jamie and he spent the night at our house a lot. He showed maturity and compassion way beyond his age, he was and still is a great friend to my entire family.

Yep is say it would be hard to find anyone who had anything bad to say about Toad and Jamie has always been a sweetheart!

This post has turned out to be good for Toad's. Great mechanics. They only replace what needs to be replaced. Not like others that run your bill up by replacing something that doesn't need done.

I don't really know Jamie, but I will tell you about my experience with him. A few years ago (during Merlefest), I had an accident (my fault). I was very upset and crying. Jamie was so nice and told me that my insurance would take care of it, not to worry. The important thing is no one was hurt. He looked over my car and told me it wouldn't cost too much to fix it. He had to tow the other car because their tire was busted. You could not have asked for anyone to be any nicer. Now, like I said, I don't know him. My only experience with him was this incident if I ever need a tow that is definitely who I will call.

wilkesgirl91180... the residents of Windemere Apt...need to get a parking tag for visitors to display in the windshield....it has always been the case...so as not to everyone and anyone park in the slots set aside for residents and their guest....so get over it...Toad is doing the job asked by removing unauthorized vehicles....oops did that slip your mind?

They're one of the best family's around! Always super nice when we've needed them, and never had any problems with work done there.

Toad's is a good company and fine people just doing their jobs. Next time display a parking pass. Don't slam them on here because you are mad you got towed.

You Wilkesgirl are the first person that I have ever heard anyone say anything bad about Toads Garage and his Towing service. He is not a shadetree mechanic. He has a perfectly good garage and tow truck. Shame on you for talking smack about a fine outstanding mechanic and his business.
