My point is I agree with getting rid of the law. Its easy to make a silencer and only punishes honest people. Cheap tax free silencers could also save the hearing of millions of sportsman. I know my hearing would be better.

The biggest problem right now isn't even the $200 tax stamp. It's the 10 month wait. Just make the frigging ATF speed up their process to a normal time frame and most people would be happy.

Most people don't understand a silencer just dampens the sound and does not make it totally go away. I have played with them for years, don't think it is as big a deal as some would like to make it

Might as well as those used in criminal activity are purchased illegally anyway. It will make no difference to the criminal element who uses such in the commission of a crime.

This bill would remove suppressors from the NFA and treat them like a regular firearm. It would also help to control noise pollution and protect the hearing of hunters, target shooters and anyone who may be around a firearm while it is being fired.

Be sure to contact your US. Rep and ask him or her to sign on has a cosponsor to HR 3799 in the house.

Also contact your US senator and ask them to sign on to the senate version S.2236.
