I remember watching the news coverage on Katrina in New Orleans and even though I felt bad about what happened I could not keep from forming a negative opinion about the majority of victims that stayed in the city. They claimed the government failed by not rescuing them. First off If I find myself in that situation I'm going to get out on my own. If they could loot the stores wading in waist deep water they could head north to where it was not flooded. I remember seeing people pulling boats loaded with stolen goods from the stores. The news would film people standing on bridges asking for the government to do this and give them that. The sad truth is they did not want to leave because of the free for all. They knew the government would give them free stuff if they stayed. Remember how so many spent the money FEMA gave them and the hotels they refused to leave over a year after Katrina? I will get blasted for this post but it's a sad fact. Just like the riots over the police shootings there is a common dominator tying all of this together. If anyone states the facts they will be labeled and attacked but the facts can not be refuted. Other people will make excuses for the actions of a mob mentality. For the sins of the past we have allowed some groups to forgo personal accountability fostering a breeding ground for the things I have posted. This is going to be the down fall of our society. I try to look at everything without drawing a negative conclusion but the only way to do that is to be in denial of cold hard facts.

The original post was a simple question arising from a thought expressed in another thread.

AT 1:14 I questioned the legitimacy of blaming W for a hurricane. You had stated that Bush was responsible for the deaths that occurred during Katrina. That is bogus, as are you. Presidents cannot control the weather. Would that you could control your own hit air.

EXPLAIN YOUR ORIGINAL POST AND THE ONE YOU MADE AT 1:14 PLEASE.
