I'm with you O-Bla Di. The concept of a Tranny must have not dawned on the FCC. If they listened to the words I never could understand why they never banned Lola. It got alot of airplay. I'm not dumb but I can't understand why she walked like a woman but talked like a man , my Lola.

I remember the first time I figured out the lyrics to Lola by the Kinks. Back then this was scandalous but the radio played it. Still love the tune though.

Back in the day when I was in college and lived in a dorm there was someone on my hall that loved this song, I would sit straight up around 2 AM many nights when it came blaring down the hall.... Ahhh where have those days gone!!!!

I remember listening to "Louie, Louie" Liked the rhythm, didn't notice it being dirty, no worse then some Beatles songs were.
