I've spoken to Dad and Mom several times throughout the day today. Dad is hurting really badly and sounds really weak. I'm trying to do what I can from here to help them make sure everything is taken care of. It's really tough for there to be so many miles between us, but we're using technology to keep in close contact. Please keep my Mom and Dad both in your thoughts and prayers. He's in the VA hospital that's closest to where they live, but that's still an hour's drive from their house which makes it rough for them both and on them financially.

Please continue praying. He blacked out during the night and they found bacteria in his blood.

Thanks, everybody. Last I heard he had a really rough night last night, but he was resting. He's in the VA hospital there. I'm not sure about any steroid shots. I do know lots of his health issues came from him serving in Vietnam during the Vietnam war when the Agent Orange was in use. He's also had cancer (in 1980). Needless to say, he's had lots of health issues. It just breaks my heart that he's been through so much. All I can do is do what needs to be done here at home and pray for my family that's there for him back in MO. That doesn't make my heart break any less though.
