any dog will bite under the right circumstances. for my own companion, she's pretty mellow most of the time. i warn strangers ...... "if i'm ok, she's ok"

Given then restrictions for the site, I couldn't make that sound any meaner...lol. But I promise that what I would do to someone that hurt one of my dogs would not be edited, in the slightest.

My dogs bite people all the time. One of the many things I like about them.

I would never promise anyone my dogs wouldn't bite. They are dogs, they may bite. Just because they haven't, doesn't mean it isn't possibility.

Lemme try that last bit in English. *we need an edit option*

If someone reached for one of my dogs without asking, got bit, and then tried to hurt either one of them, then heck would rain down upon them. I can promise you that.

My dog would never randomly bite anyone. If you reach for her, then she may nip. People that think it's ok to touch your dog without asking first are just begging to be bit. Protect yourself...if you are afraid of being bitten by a dog, then don't touch random dogs. I try to be respectful of others and only take my dogs inside of PetSmart and Tractor Supply. I also take them to the dog park, the greenway, and the dam to walk (always leashed). If someone reached for one of my dogs without asking, then got bit she bit, and then they tried to either one of them, then heck would rain down upon them. I can promise you that.

I have been told more than once by animal control that if someone's animal is attacking you or your family or your animal or is acting in a threating manner it is ok to kill it.

That's what that comment pertained to

With the laws, if you killed the dog, you would probably go to prison. But the person that did not obey the rules, would not go through a small claims lawsuit for the bite. If my memory is correct, the person was bitten in the face.

I agree. If someone had an allergic attack, they should sue dog owner and store too.

I know Lowes does have a sign saying that dogs are not allowed unless service dogs. I guess I will complain to management next time I go because I have seen dogs there. People are rude and inconsiderate. I even remember a few years ago where a customer was bitten severely by a dog at that store. I would have sued owner and the store. Really taking a big risk in taking dogs out in public.

If I were ever to get bit in a store you can be sure that the dog would be dead right there and that I would sue both the owner of the animal and the store.

Old lady sadly these people are to full of themselves and think they have the right take their dogs wherever they go. They could care less if someone is allergic to animals or not because the are selfish and rude.

People should not be taking animals into stores unless they are service dogs. It is a real problem for people with severe allergies. Being around dogs and cats will send my husband to the ER with an asthma attack. And that can be deadly.

Please be considerate of others.

not every store...just where they are allowed

I am with the leave the dog at home crowd. My son has autism and is scared of strange dogs and I am sorry if you disagree but the needs of a human trump your desire to haul your dog into every store you visit.
