An armed society is a polite society.

Citizens should have the same fire power as their police force and vice versa. Both need some common sense rules.

Most people would be shocked to learn about the things they have at home that can be made into explosives and fertilizer is only one out of dozens and dozens of things that can be used.

Joseph T. is going to try to skirt around paying the Crypt Gunpowder Tax with a bag of fertilizer.

Yes just-in-case you're what I call a gun nut with prepper being the proper term. It's all good. Most people under prepare, some over prepare. I'd say in an apocalypse a roll of toilet paper would be worth more than a pound of gold.

Maybe one these days when the apocalypse happens we can do some bartering on some of that honey you have stock piled .

I own several guns but I have enough common sense to know a situation requiring their use would end, good or bad, with one round or certainly less than 10. Whether it's drones, tanks, helicopters, unless some of you own a rocket launcher it's a delusion to believe you could hold off a modern military force.

Come on Crypt you are smart enough to know that explosives are easy to make. I bet that every one this board has all the things needed at home right now to make some type of IED.

If the government ever attacks the people of the USA I don't think it will really matter what any nut has stock piled .

I have over 10,000 rolls of s*it paper and canned food that will last for years ...but with out my guns I would fill very vulnerable if I ever had to face this type of situation .
I guess I'm just a nut .

Well Major that old ammo you got stockpiled, unless it's in a controlled environment, may not fire when the zombies are at the door. If the government really decided to disarm the republicans it wouldn't matter how many AR-15 rounds and how thick the walls on their bunker, when that first tank rolled up it's all over. Now anyone with an ounce of common sense knows this isn't going to happen, but it's my way of determining who the nuts are.

I am still shooting ammo that was produced during WW2 and it shoots fine as did the ammo I had that came from Egypt it was a little hotter than normal but it shot fine. As for the comment about tanks you might want to study history a little bit. The Vietcong held their own pretty good against us and the Afghans sent the Soviets home

This is just my opinion on determining who the nuts are and it would be someone that doesn't arm to protect themselves this day and age .

Crypt I would see know need in worrying about a Tank... it would be " Air power " that we the people will have to deal with .... if and when this ever comes about . Lol ...Drones dude , Drones will do the dirty work for the government that's how they roll .

Marie said- "Sorry MAJOR L R:: I just believe in not letting anybody from different regions of the world from entering the country."

Thanks, Marie. I don't necessarily disagree with walls and borders. But I do NOT believe there's a government entity that can do that job better than real people. I do believe in borders around your tribe, guarded jealously. If your tribe is your country, I respect that. If your tribe is your county or neighborhood or family, that's good too. Redundant walls and level of defense, and none of them outsourced to unconcerned bureaucrats.

I do appreciate the rhetoric coming from Trump in this regard. The borders are a sieve. But it IS still just rhetoric. Perhaps he means it and perhaps he doesn't. I don't believe the GOPe have any desire to close the southern border, and cut off cheap labor to their cronies. Truly, I think we've seen more "republican" opposition to Trump than to the O!Bummer.

And Crypt said- "With the Crypt Gunpowder Excise Tax."

Fabulous solution, sir. More government...harder, faster. If you haven't noticed, the one industry that has absolutely thrived these past few years (aside from the grievance industry, of course) is gun and ammo manufacturing & sales. Safe bet that your tax won't hurt my, or my neighbor's (or my cousins' or my friends') hearty stockpiles.

None of that should stop you from threatening us, though.

Sorry MAJOR L R:: I just believe in not letting anybody from different regions of the world from entering the country. They've done destroyed all economic, SS,medicare, etc..etc..etc. benefits senior an middle class people have worked hard too as promised to have atleast something to live on in retirement or disability in future. Don't get me wrong, i said all,but there are good people world wide which should be allowed in, but not to reap an live in paradise on our investments put aside for us. Just look at southern California, lower Florida for example. What is there? It's kind'a like Locust, 7-10-20 or whatever their cycle, they destroy everything in their slow path & deposit eggs for future generations. As far as guns, the finger in front of trigger is too blame.Yet like you said, the whole system is busted.
