In a twisted view of justice, the Navy wants to charge Lt. Commander Timothy White for illegally discharging a firearm on federal property in an attempt to stop the Islamic jihadist who murdered 5 of his military brothers. Western Journalism had reported shortly after the attack: A Navy officer and Marine reportedly returned fire at the shooter who killed five service members in Chattanooga, Tenn., even though current policy does not permit military members to carry firearms on facilities such as those where the attack occurred.

The center's commanding officer, Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White, used his personal firearm to engage the shooter during the attack, according to sources quoted in the Navy Times. A report from The Washington Post said that one of the Marines killed in the shooting might have been carrying a 9 mm Glock and possibly returned fire on Abdulazeez. The Navy officer could face disciplinary action for violating policy about possessing a weapon on the facility that was supposed a gun-free zone.
The investigation into the attack is ongoing, and authorities will not know if White or the Marine hit Abdulazeez until an autopsy and a ballistics report have been completed. The recruiting center, the other building at which the gunman fired, was reopened Monday.

Of course, as always, it's Fox News doing the reporting of this.
Tony Shaffer, veteran who works for other veterans, plus was a SEAL or one of the elite groups called the pentagon this morning. Ed Henry also call the Pent. and got the same reply.
They told him this.,,"There is a ton more to investigate, but yes, it is possible".
The law, that shouldn't exist, started with Bush the first, and signed into law by B. Clinton.
They should give him medals instead.
They will never prosecute, there will be such an out cry from the public.
This hero has six children, and a baby on the way.

What Grayson is doing a fine job of is pointing out the LDLP's penchant for pre-mature speculation. It happens when you feast at the trough of media doggy-doo and was it down with blue Kool-aid. Meanwhile, right thinking folks are content to wait on the facts to be established before concluding responsibility.

You may call it "playing it down." I call it not jumping to hasty conclusions with limited information or allowing myself to be manipulated by outlets that rely on irrational emotion rather than objective fact-based information.
