I once saw a video of a mother giving her kids each a I-pad at Christmas while at just 6-7. Kinda disturbing.

I don't know if its just me,, but the next time you go out to eat watch the parents and kids. The kids are on their ipads playing a game or texting with a friend ,, its not long before mom grabs her phone,, then dad has to check his phone. I guess my point is they do not talk to one another anymore. Parents need to talk with their kids and discipline them when they need it,, i'm not say beat them but teach them now why they are young.

I agree with lightning.Simple bad parenting and over obsessive parents that smother their kids into the image as though they are America angel while less could be said for some.

Probably the child had medical problems, or sometimes a child's home life looks perfect from the outside looking in. If a child might have been switched at birth, the birth parents could have had drug or alcohol problems, or a hereditary deficiency.

I disagree kenc...some are born bad. I know of too many good parents who's kids were probably switched at birth. I believe in the bad seed.

NO child was born an obnoxious brat ! They shouldn't be beaten for neglect and the stupidity of their parents, nor should the parents be allowed to beat them for their failed parenting.

I don't think beating a teenager or a kid is right.

Not only is it taken straight out of an episode of 30 Rock (Liz buys all of the hotdogs to spite a rude customer in line behind her, which the writer SAYS he never saw), but he waits until two years after the fact, after also conveniently losing his receipt due to throwing away his belongings due to bed bugs (ewww!). to write about it? There's something rotten in the state of Denmark here.

Thank goodness there's usually only one child acting up, and it's usually because of a stupid mother.
