Osmosis (view profile) | Posted 4:34 pm, 10/31/2014 | 1047 It is cheaper in Jonesville. That's something I can't understand because it's always been a little higher than in Elkin. |
Two months ago gas prices in Jonesville was about the same as Wilkesboro. Elkin gas prices was running about .8 to .10 cent a gal cheaper. Now Elkin gas prices are .6 to .8 cents higher than Jonesville.

Its a tax on those living in Wilkes County, and those who live on the N Wilkesboro side of towns pay more than those who live on the 421 side.

Thats about the only market that sheetz has gone into where the station owners dont let them dictate the prices. I've noticed if a sheetz comes in the gas prices in that market tend to be much higher then a market without a sheetz. Good for the Elkin fuel retailers.
