I also live in that neighborhood and go down to the river. Those dogs are the sweetest and my kids adore them. People on here are making the owners sound bad, those dogs are not starving, they happen to take very good care of them, they are not chained because they own that whole property down there and they deserve to explore, for anyone bashing the op if its as bad as you say, go ahead and call the cops, have them go check everything out.

Well, the people who took the dogs out of compassion and fed them, took care of the fleas and ticks gave you a second chance to take care of your dogs. Learn a lesson and start feeding those animals. I told youwwhere you can get free dog food.
Next time, they might keep the dogs.

Sounds like they should have kept the poor things.

I know the people who took these dogs. They are very kind and upstanding people. They were at the river for hours hoping the owners may show up. Finally, when it was time for them to leave they took the dogs with them because they were starving (you could see every bone) and dehydrated and covered in sores, fleas and ticks. They returned the dogs, against their better judgment and my advise. So, the only judgment you people should make should be directed at the owner of these poor, pitiful, flea infested, starving dogs!!

I'm on limited income with 6 dogs, I go to tractor supply each month and buy 2, 40# bags of dog food . Listen, go to the humane society, located at the dog park, from 12-4 Monday and Wednesday. They will give you dog food.

@ pink, OMG, the way you talked to me, I thought you better than that. Is what someone is saying true? I have 6 dogs, I rehomed one last night, I manage to feed them! Like someone else said, how can you offer a $500 reward and not go out and buy a few bags of dog food? Was the reward just a hoax? No wonder someone took them, they probably got a good meal.

hey pinkchic,,,let me tell you my part about your dogs,,,i was at the river fishing last sunday and your poor dogs came down to where i was, they was so weak from not being feed that they could barley even walk,,,you can count every ribs in their bodies,,,i stopped fishing and went to the IGA and got them 2 big cans of dog food for each dog,,,got back to the river and here they came ,,,,so i feed them the food and they eat it like they had never been feed,,,, what happen to your dogs after that i don't know but i'm calling the animal control first thing monday morn and see what can be done about you not feeding them poor dogs,,,you get on here offering a $ 500.00 award for their return,,,well you might want to hang on to your money because i'm pretty sure the animal control will take your dogs when they see them in the shape they are in,,,,go buy your dogs some food and while you are at it,,,clean your junk yard up,,,it makes that whole neighborhood look bad,,,and yes,,i don't live far from you,,,,so be expecting a visit from the animal control in the morning.

Whoever had them must have dropped them back off at the river bc they come running up the road just a few mins ago
