Sorry, not really sorry helicopter mom. You gonna call call the company when your kid gets fired? Or demand the sorority disband because she didn't get her first choice after rush week? What did your kid learn from this thread? I'm sure her friends are talking about it. If I were a coach I wouldn't want your kid on my team. Kids lose, kids get cut, helicopter parents make it miserable for everyone and lose a teaching moment by doing this kind of thing. IMHO.

Wrong superg49! We need to get harder in sports. No more just skills or participation leagues. Sports is becoming the future of America. Start competitive leagues at kindergarten or preK.

Good to hear! Sounds like some of the players were causing drama. Wish they could discipline kids who cause problems among team mates. But that would probably cause further issues.

Long story short nothing from her coach but was told that no players were cut this team will only be playing together for a few months then it would all go back to normal.

I would simply have to tell your daughter to suck it up butter cup. Don't always get everything you think you should.
Someone was better than her. Such is life it will be like that to everyone at least once in our life. She needs to get use to it. Don't spoil her

Of course I am right! It does not take scientist or genius to know this. Full ride sports scholarship is the way to go. If you quit or get in trouble, then you still get to finish college. student athletes are the backbone of the universities and colleges. Kids, excel in sports!!!

studentathlete usually does not know what he/she is talking about. But this time they are making sense. Sports rules the school systems. Arts or band activites get cut before sports. So it sounds like elementary schools are pushing competition a lot more. Sad that they start cutting kids from sports at a early age. Some rec leagues are following this practice. Soon it will be all the rec leagues.
