If you are lonely, you need to first make friends with yourself. I celebrate every holiday by myself and nothing keeps me from fixing a personal feast and carrying on my traditions even though it is just me. These have turned into some of my best memories as people know that my phone is off the hook and I do not want visitors; When was the last time you spent time not alone, but with yourself and enjoyed it? If not, then you just are not a person that anyone else would want to be with anyhow. You are you and no one else is. Now get on with it and make your own happiness.

I will say, now that I've got the dinner cooked and eaten, kitchen cleaned and leftovers put away...I am enjoying the sound of silence.
There was a few moments of feeling lonely today, then I remembered that even so, there is much to be thankful for
