It is complected, I give you that. It is really hard to make a judgement.

Because all of these judgmental people who say "women that use assistance are lazy and don't want to work and just want to use up our tax dollars."

Complain if they get help for abortions, complain if they get help if they have the child. Can't win for losing.

god forbid that she uses government assistance.

Why is that?

The bible is all about approving of abortion and I guess the difference was it wasn't the woman's right to choose, it was done for her.

Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by wh*redom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt. -- Genesis 38:24

Because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die. -- 2 Samuel 12:14

I have see an situation where a woman and her husband were in great relationship and the wife became pregnant and for whatever reason he ran off to the other side of the country and abandoned his spouse and his unborn child. And i mean abandon in every way including financially. What is she supposed to do? Good luck finding a job while pregnant. and god forbid that she uses government assistance. If the man is allowed to run, why can't she?

Obviously you've never made a mistake or just fallen in love with the wrong person...

Oh yes, I have fallen in love with the wrong person at least twice in my life. I almost never see them but I still love both of them. I personally think it was they who made the mistake. Any choice based on world opinion and not on the heart is a mistake.

You keep saying "innocent human life," without regard to the fact that an embryo isn't really a life.

In fact, the Bible says that a baby doesn't really count until it's 30 days old. So Biblically speaking, a late term abortion would still be acceptable.

When society doesn't place a value on innocent human life, then don't be surprised when it's members stop valuing innocent human life.....

it's not a matter of the life being innocent...even I can attest that all life is innocent....without fault, if you will.

the abortion issue is not about innocence!~

springtime123

It all comes down to the value of life. You all know I am not some kind of bible thumping nut. However, I do value life. Innocent life anyway.

Which is it? You said if they make a mistake they should pay the price and now you are saying give them a gift. If having a child is a gift, then should you punish them for screwing up instead of gifting them?

As Dr. Phil would say, I don't really have a dog in this fight except I believe women are equal and should be treated as such. I'm sure if we men had babies the abortion rate would be much higher.

I am not attempting to offend anyone here, This is just my personal feelings on this subject.

I don't think having a child is punishment. It is a gift.

So you are saying having a child should be their punishment for screwing up.

springtime123

Generally when a person makes a mistake they have to pay the price. However, the reason for abortion is clearly the fault of the conservative religious right. If they would accept that people make mistakes then a woman wouldn't need an abortion.

"Yes and everyone involved should take the responsibility for their choice."

and therein lies the problem, they don't take responsibility...most times they just walk away.
And we have to take a life to make up for some woman's foolish choice in men? Some foolish woman who can't take care of her own birth control? A woman's stupidity is not a reason to murder.

I would said many, many women had abortions because the "men" didn't want the responsibilities of a child.
