The only waiters I hear complaining are the ones that just stand around and act like you asked them for a lung when you need something
Ain't it the truth!!!!!

s.yelrah (view profile) | Posted 3:07 pm, 09/17/2014 | A waitress iin a restaurant deserves every penny they get. They are on their feet more hours a day than anyone I know. If the food is bad, the waitress get the blame----TIP THEM AS MUCH AS YOU CAN-THEY DESERVE IT
|
I pay for the service I receive. If my cup is never empty and the waitress checks on me every ten minutes I will give them a well deserved tip. When I get breakfast my bill is usually around seven dollars so if the waiter does her job I will leave a four to five dollar tip. When I have to sit staring at my plate sitting in the window and my glass is empty do not expect a generous tip. The only waiters I hear complaining are the ones that just stand around and act like you asked them for a lung when you need something. For these waiters I leave a nice shiny nickel. A good waiter in a nice restaurant can knock down some serious cash.

Bar tending was fun and I made a decent living for a college student paying his own way. But I also made real min wage when I bartended. Not 2.13.

Would be nice if all employers paid a living wage but I still would tip for job very well done just to show I appreciate it.

I'm also a CFO for a company that has been around for over 40 years.
But I have waited plenty of tables and tended many bars.

Pretty much everyone that works there is part time.
Are you saying that part time should make more per hour because they....are part time?
I'm starting to think that you are one of those single female moms. You were used for a good night, probably many, and abandoned because of your complete ignorance. Your lack of education and skills have you stuck waiting tables, and you think you deserve more.
Am I right?

Fins..min wage isn't 15 dollars an hour.
So, how many kids you got still at home now?

Federal labor statistics show that those are anecdotal cases. The majority are students living in households where the income is over $90k.

Dhawk. You were part time a Rubys I imagine.
I've worked there too ten years ago. And couldn't make anything unless I closed. They are way overstaffed most of the time.

Not from my experience Fins. I've known people trying to support families on min wage.
But I suppose we run with different people. LoL.

Why should I tip for poor service? Tipping is supposed to be for when someone goes above and beyond their basic job.
I'm also tired of hearing about a living wage. Students still living at home do not need $15 an hour. And that's who earns minimum wage
