i am like you Sparkling. i have no need to poke a stick in the hornets nest .... others just can't resist it.

I can't argue with your logic or conclusions.

However if I came across a hornets nest in the woods, I would handle it with deference.

sparkling, i think you will find detractors that this was foolish. i saw an interview of one of the organizers earlier this morning. he was very specific this was not "anti" anything ... it was merely citizens exercising their rights. i have suspicions of why that particular place, but my suspicions are not enough accusation to call them wrong for having an event any place they choose in this country.

it's important for people to remember, that ALL citizens have this right no matter how much another might agree or disagree. not directing that to you, sparkly. just speaking in general terms.

It was foolish to stage an event simply to taunt the radicals. Freedom of speech involves a measure of responsibility for content. Just because you can say a thing doesn't mean you should say a thing (or draw a thing).

Kudos to the Garland police. They kept this mess from becoming a massacre.

Any pictures of these people slipping across the border ? Oh well , let's blame freedom of speech on Obama. Sounds like a stupid event, but as far as I can tell. they rented this place legally.

without giving any opinion on why this event was held in this particular location, freedom of speech was protected.

i heard on the news that a ceremony at the end of the event ran a bit longer than planned. it could have been much worse if everyone had been exiting the building sooner.

Wonder how many Jihadists Obama's open border policy has probably let in this country? The Liberals think it's stupid to build a fence. They will see how stupid it is in 2016 if more of these attacks take place. Thanks go out to the police in Garland for their actions.

I'm sure Obama will claim it was work place violence and had nothing to do with terrorists.

It wasn't so much an Islamic art exhibit, it was people gathering to draw pictures of Muhammad.
