How very "Christian" of you, Statyk, to put down someone and try to publicly humiliate them. What's all that rot you people are always spouting? "Judge not..." "Let those among you without sin..." I'll let you finish those since you're such an upstanding Christian, and, of course, are an expert on the bible. How I detest "religious" people. You wear your "religion" like a mask, but take such pleasure in harming and personally attacking others. Would your god be proud of that?

As for the original post, those who said the degree was worthless without accreditation are absolutely correct. Earthangel and 1 golden eagle had the right of it. Visions are great, but without following through, you've made your student body have to start all over at an accredited institution. I wish them luck.

Sorry. I just remember that My Father checked into sending my Brother there when he was in high school but he did not go to the prep school but instead went to a hospital. Sorry you *** hole.

Patterson was not a military school. It has always been a prep school.

Millionaireland is closer than what you think, what is a tragedy is that the spirit that Wilkes County once had seems to be in hiding. What students, staff, faculty, and Wilkes County need to understand is that a Sovereign God works beyond man's abilities and He isn't done here in Wilkes County. Everyone who has been touched by Dr. Whipple, the Dean and the efforts of FCC staff and faculty is carried out in the lives of the students. These students are from as far as China and India and across the nation from FL, CA and ME. FCC will go beyond any intentions made or expressed on this website.

Homeplace, they aren't accredited but are established and have been for a long time. The problem with colleges starting today is that even old colleges are having problems and unless an aggressive recruitment program is put in place, building your numbers is not going to happen. What you need today is a board who has dealt with a college before and who know what to do and not do. Judging from what I see, and no statyk I was not there but I do have an intelligent point of view rather than a venomous attitude like yourself, There were in a situation where the economy wasn't in a place to support a new college in this area. Lets face it, this is not millionaire land.

Wilkes County had the college that was geared towards students for any age and aimed to help students discover their potential... a potential with a purpose not only for themselves, but for the world. FCC changed lives for the better and as for MYM maybe you should evaluate yourself as a paid professor--if you weren't in agreement to educate your students and be a role model in a Christian atmosphere. This college was focused on their goal....and every college had to start somewhere with accreditation.

1 golden eagle have you heard of Fruitland Baptist Bible College? They are not accredited and they seem to do fine. The problem is the people in the region are not embracing a Christian College in this area How sad. It could have been like Liberty University and taken over a small town and employed a whole lot more people than it did. God is weeping the the school right now and looking at people who could have donated and didn't. You should pray not be cruel

How sad, we must pray for all the students and staff, the staff because they have families and now do not have work and the students because God will make a way for them to continue in their education somewhere else.

Good observation Poe! But since you have no clue as to what the vision was or the people involved I believe you shouldn't voice your opinion in the matter.

Stayke, it doesn't matter what the vision was, if the vision was wrong then it was wrong. I have worked for many businesses that have wrong visions and it harms both the people and the business.

And for those of you who are concerned about the accredidation... They were in the process (that ALL colleges go through) to become accredited. It's not as easy to do when you're a small town Christian College and not a university

**** ***** (aka Mysterious Young Man) To talk so much trash you sure didn't mind working for them did you? If work is what you called it. You need to "respectfully" close your mouth and stop creating so much drama. As if Wilkes Co. needs anymore of that! The dean and president had a vision for FCC that people like you did nothing but hinder. As a "Christian" you should be praying for not only yourself but for EVERYONE affected by what has happened. Have a blessed day :)

1 golden eagle is correct. Unfortunately for these students, none of their credits will transfer to an accredited institution of higher learning since FCC wasn't accredited. I feel bad for them, but, even if they had finished, their "degree" would most likely not have been accepted because of a lack of accreditation. They certainly couldn't have taken that degree and applied to somewhere like ASU or another post-secondary institution for graduate work. Also, potential employers like to have college graduates from SACS (or the other regions) schools.

1 golden eagle that is very true.

If they can not get accredited then they should close. All the students will have after finishing is a worthless piece of paper from an unaccredited bottom feeder school. No credit would be allowed for furthering their education and they would have to start over at a real school. I know that sounds tough but it's true.

I do feel bad for the students who have wasted their time and money and likely made big family concessions to attend. That's very sad indeed. I wish them well.

MYM, what is your connection to the school or either of the two Baptist associations in the county since you have so much inside info?
