The greenway in NW has a fishing Pier. Down Yadkin below the dental office.

I love fishing. If I had nothing to do I'd fish all day long everyday that I could stand it. My Grandfather took me fishing for the first time. I remember my first bass. I caught it on a Black Arbogast Hula-popper using a red Abu- Garcia reel. My Grandpa had to throw it for me because I would have backlashed it for sure. He told me to let the lure lie still for awhile and then pull it so it would pop. When I did a bass grabbed that thing and the fight was on. I was probably less than ten years old but I remember it like it was yesterday. Take your grandkids fishing and let them see the glory of Gods creations. It never fails to amaze me every time I go.

Stone Mountain is good. Also, there's a creek on Moxley Road just off of Longbottom that is fun and you can wade while you fish. Have fun.

I usually use worms for bait. It's hard to keep the grandchildren on the hook.
