No you're talking about the one in Clingman. I'm talking about the one at the 16-421 intersection. Browns Ford Rd.

The station I believe your speaking of is the only gas station on 421north before you get to wilkesboro...they have a subway...restrooms...and is also a drop/pickup station for Lowes employees riding the bus the CLT. They have the poor pedestrian running out of fuel miles before they can get to the next station. Plus it is franchised out to the company from india which is seemingly over coming alot of stations in Wilkes. On the other hand...Shell staion on 421 south at highway 16 is the same way. catching people coming off the mountain...it' s strategy.

Citgo gas is supplied by Tarheel Oil. Arthur Lankford and his greed is why Citgo gas is so high.

i noticed the price difference about 3-4 days ago. i'm thinking Murphy's and that Wilco are having a little gas war, everywhere else in town is $0.20 higher

Citgo normally has good prices or prices on average to everyone else's. Maybe this station needs a few more questions thrown at it?
It would be interesting to know their excuse, as other Citgo's are more in lines to other Brands.

I believe that CITGO prices are controlled by a company down near the coast. Seems like all the gas, except Murphy's and Wilco are much higher along the 421 corridor. It couldn't be price gouging of the tourist?

Citgo can raise the price of gas but we as the consumers can decide to travel half a mile to one mile east to get a better price....but it does raise an interesting question....

Why is gas 21 cent a gallon higher there than down the road at Wilco and Murphys?
