I really think most of your must be use to Golden Coral or Western Steer steak if you need this garbage of over processed, high chemical garbage on your steak. Do you not get enough sodium elsewhere?

....
D#$% phone....my whole family is the same way.... One of us will run to the convenience store and get a1 in case the restaurant is out which has happened before. I think that's when my cousin started bringing his own. He's the biggest wh*re of all.....for Christmas one year we gave him this gift pack that had like 16 bottles of a1

A1 is only acceptable in cafeterias. You should never have A1 at a table of a good streak restaurant. If its a good steak that is worth eating, you don't need to add anything to it.

used to work in a kitchen.

A good steak requires nothing more than a fork, knife, and a dash of salt. Therefore neither will work.

I like mine plain, but my sister in law is a nightmare to go out to eat with. She brings A1 in her pocketbook. No lie. Just in case they don't have the "real thing". Ugh. She's family and I can't disown her....I just sit on the other end and pretend not to see it.

sgtkracka has become a favorite poster of mine. he's smart, insightful, and erudite.

but his taste in food is abominable!

If the steak is so bad it requires the taste to be covered up then it needs to be fed to the dog.

Both; then throw in a drop of Tabasco, for good measure.

I'm the op and I'm actually the one that brought up Texas Pete....I think starting your own thread gives you diplomatic immunity to do such. Anyway that's the beauty of conversation. You start one on a topic and it evolves. Relax.....its all good.

I grew up with A1, migrated to 57, then I learned how to season and grill a steak so stopped using either.

Louisana red sauce is better than Texas Pete.

Ummm just-in-case.....I bet that came with a nasty case of the runs later. I swear if TSHTF, and society collapses, the 3 things I will miss the most are ranch dressing, A1, and Texas pete
