Mercy lonzo !! Accusing us of what you do in repub land, I'm never on here 24 hours a day. Guess I could be if I had time and wanted to, without your permission.

As a matter of fact, I have to leave right now. Enjoy your day.

People should read a little true history, it's always the Democrats who stand with common people.
Never had a poor person offer me a job. Who built this country? It takes money to make money. Do the American public want to be a bunch of robots living off whatever the government decides to give them? That is the Socialist way and the Democrat Party is becoming a party of Socialists. I was raised a Democrat and voted mostly Democrat for many years. In the last 25 years the Democrat party left me with their ultra liberal ways. I am now a registered Republican. Not proud of the Tea Party Republicans but I am more of a centralist in my thinking.

The poor do not pay the taxes it takes to fund all the giveaways, it is the upper 1/3 of the wage earners and corporations that do. Billary and her comments that corporations and individuals do not create jobs is nothing more than more Socialist bull manure. I have hired several hundred people during my working career, they paid the taxes to fund the lazy, sorry, deadbeats that are too sorry to work sitting on their rumps

I have worked for minimum wage. I started more than one job making minimum wage, working my way up to middle management at three different companies. I have founded several companies that employed many workers, paid them according to their skills and work ethic. Come in late every day, take long lunch breaks, leave early, not show up, your sorry rump got fired.

I am off my soapbox and gone to lunch

It would be fair and accurate to observe that kenc is what we call a "political hack", one of the folks who spend 23 1/2 hours just parroting senseless praise for lib democrats. She makes absolutely no effort to discuss the reasons for her idolatry. And soooo proud of her ignorance. Sniffer personified.

Just constantly throwing out crackpot one-liners.

It's folks like this who drag down any potential dialogue about issues.

ulie, kenc, dumpy, gumpy, and a few others...enemies of intelligence.

Once again, tax laws created most of these problems. The liberty solution would be to scrap the current corruption -infested income tax code.

A platform of the tea party, incidentally.

The solution is right in front of your faces.

You complain about the problems, then spend the next 23 1/2 hours proclaiming how "your" party is the best thing since sliced bread.

Makes absolutely no sense.

Very true Elmo , and looks like there's nothing we can do about it.

just for accuracy ....

the 39% mentioned in the title applies to citizens living out of the country, not the total american population

the top 10% paying most of the taxes is true, but the secondary fact to that is they own 75% of the wealth. so although they pay 68% of the taxes ... their burden is less than the middle/lower income levels

and just a side note... 95% of financial gains 2009-2012 went to the top 1%

no matter how you spin it, the middle/lower class is being starved out

I have a good friend that had been working in Switzerland for well over twenty years, only coming back to the US to visit family, attend funerals, etc. He still has to pay US taxes on his Swiss earnings. He is taking about renouncing his US citizenship, do you blame him?? He plans to live out the rest of his life over there

Perhaps it's because the wealthiest among us make their money through investment and thus pay "capital gains tax", not "income tax". It's not some arcane loophole for the wealthy.

Denise Rich, the wealthy socialite and former wife of pardoned billionaire trader Marc Rich, has given up her U.S. citizenship and, with it, much of her U.S. tax bill.

Rich, 68, a Grammy-nominated songwriter, top Democratic donor and glamorous figure in European royalty circles, renounced her American passport in November, according to her lawyer.

Her maiden name, Denise Eisenberg, appeared in the Federal Register on April 30 in a quarterly list of Americans who renounced their U.S. citizenship and permanent residents who handed in their green cards.

The great majority of income taxes are paid by the top 10% yet they only use a small fraction of the government benefits derived from those taxes. You can try to paint that another color gramps, but you are simply wrong!

Osmosis its not down with the rich.. you idiot....its about paying your share to live in this country....the extreme wealthy pay very little in comparison to those who earn less than a six figure income.....socialist...not hardly...I make less than those in the top one percent....yet pay some 8 to 9 per cent more in taxes....but I guess by your post that you are one of those elite one per cent who like the Helmsley said only the little people pay taxes....its seems that many who ascribe to that thought scream and holler when they get called on the carpet shading their income.....Romney said he paid less than 11% on his yearly income...really?... so your ok if you make less than the 6 figure to pay 18% to 24% or more......jsut asking...

I'm putting all my savings in cash (I've got a heavy duty safe) and I'm going to start withdrawing all my cash after each paycheck goes through except leaving enough in to pay bills. Trying to do it the semi-old fashioned way.

See- Pa's gibberish is just like the Socialists always use.Down with the rich, they're keeping you from the good life. See them live in luxury while you live in squalor. Lets vote for me and I will redistribute the wealth while I live in my big mansion. I'll come and see how your doing when I drive through your community in my Escalade. I'll put you on a program to give you a little food, I'll make the rich man pay for it while I eat my food prepared by my chef at my favorite restaurant.

70% of the US income tax is paid by the top 10% of earners. Imagine what your tax burden (or lack of benefits) would be without their contribution.
