Pecan Balls
Pecan Balls

I think these are called "dainties"

1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted
1/4 cup powdered sugar, plus a little more for rolling
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup pecans, finely chopped

Mix butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Gradually stir in flour and pecans.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Using your hands, shape into marble-sized balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 for 17 minutes or until firm, but not brown.

Roll gently in powdered sugar. Cool, then roll in sugar again.

Makes about 50 cookies.
