Owner and designer of GoNC, a network of websites that represent several counties throughout North Carolina. This network includes GoWilkes.com, GoAshe.com, and GoSurry.com.

As of January 2014, there are 46 county websites in this network.


Community Contributions

In 2011, I was appointed by the Wilkes County Commissioners to represent Wilkes county on the High Country Workforce Development Board. The mission of this board is to help employers meet their workforce needs, help individuals build careers, strengthen the local economy, and meet the challenges of global competition.

In 2010, I was recognized as a Top 50 Entrepreneur of North Carolina by Business Leader magazine.

In 2009, I accepted the executive position of Vice President of Tiffany's Place Teen Center, which is a non-profit organization devoted to giving the teens of Wilkes county a safe and fun recreation opportunity.

I am on the Promotions Committee for Historic Downtown N. Wilkesboro, which means I helped to create and plan some of their events (like the Battle of the Bands and the Shine to Wine Festival).

I am a member of the Economic Revitalization Committee for Historic Downtown N. Wilkesboro.

In 2008, I was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year for Historic Downtown N. Wilkesboro, and in 2009, I was recognized as Volunteer of the Decade.

In 2007, I accepted a position on the board of the High Country Business Network, which is a group that encourages small businesses to work together throughout the Western NC region.

I helped to begin a committee to help encourage restaurants to become smoke-free. Not that I believe people shouldn't be allowed to smoke; on the contrary, I believe that no one should be forced to breathe smoke if they don't want.

I am on the NC Racing Mower's Association Board, working to bring sanctioned mower races to Western NC.

In April 2005, I accepted my first elected position to a two year term as the 3rd Vice Chairman for the Wilkes Democratic party. I was chairman of the Platform Committee, which defined what the Democrats of Wilkes County specifically believe in.

I began a local chapter of the Young Democrats, which is a group of people under the age of 36 that are interested in helping the community. In 2006, I received state recognition as being one of the Top 5 Outstanding Young Democrats in North Carolina.

From 2005 until 2007, I was the co-chair for the Small Business Assistance committee for the Wilkes Chamber of Commerce, and was a Chamber Ambassador for two years. I'm also either on or chair several of the sub-committees for those groups.

I am on the Employer Advisory Board, a group that is helping to train and encourage small businesses to hire employees.
