Simple Sugar Icing

whitehawk

Posted 9:38 am, 06/15/2012

1 box confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp any regular jello powder (I like to use cherry, strawberry, or watermelon)
2 tsp vanilla
Evaporated milk

Place powdered sugar in mixing bowl
add jello powder
add vanilla
add 2 tbsp evaporated milk

mix well

Add additional evaporated milk, 1 tsp at a time. Mix well after each tsp is added
Add additional evaporated milk as needed to bring to proper consistency for icing

You can add crushed strawberries to frosting if you wish but will have to adjust liquid.
If icing becomes too thin then you can add more sugar or regular cool whip to obtain proper consistency.

Chill for 30 minutes

Begin icing cake by icing sides first. Reserve enough to cover top.
