SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program) sign-ups at the Ronda Town Hall on the FIRST & THIRD Wednesday of every month from 6-7PM. Sponsored by the ALL VOLUNTEER Humane Society of Wilkes to assist Wilkes County residents of ALL income levels to get their pets spayed/neuterd and reduce pet overpopulation in the county.

The program is INCOME RELATED so please bring with you some type of PROOF OF INCOME so that we can determine the level of assistance that you qualifiy for. A check stub, bank statement, last years taxes, etc. If you are on public assistance a FOOD STAMP CARD (EBT) or MEDICAID CARD is acceptable as proof of income and will automatically qualify you for the maximum level of assistance. ALSO, please be prepared to PAY THE FULL AMOUNT due at time of sign up since we issue you a voucher to take to the participating Vet to pay for the procedure. CASH OR CHECKS (no credit/debit cards).

FOR EXAMPLE: Person with income at or below $15,000 per year - Dog or Cat spay/neuter will cost $25. If pet is NOT up to date on rabies vaccination as required by law there will be an additional charge of $7 for rabies vac. bring your total to $32.

Person with income between $15,000 and $35,000 per year - Dog spay/neuter will cost $55. Cat $40. If rabies vac. needed totals would then be $62 or $47.

ALL persons with income above $35,000 per year will receive a voucher good for $30 off the cost of spay/neuter a dog, and $25 off for a cat.
