SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program) financial assistance in getting pets spay & neutered provided by the Humane Society of Wilkes (HSoW) at Ronda Town Hall on the FIRST & THIRD Wednesday of every month from 6-7PM.
Program is INCOME RELATED so please bring some PROOF OF INCOME in order to determine the level of assistance needed. If you are on public assistance a Food Stamp (EBT) Card or Medicaid Card is acceptable as proof of income and automatically qualifies you for the maximum level of assistance. Also be prepared to PAY AMOUNT DUE at time of sign-up because the humane society issues you a voucher to take to local participating vet to pay for procedure.
EXAMPLE: Person with income of $15,000 or below per year, cost to spay or neuter a cat or dog would be $25. Since law requires all pets to have current rabies vaccinations if your pet is NOT up to date there will be and additional charge of $7 for vaccination bringing your total cost to $32.
