Meet the Artist

Public Event

Sunday, Apr. 22, 2012

During the months of April and May 2012, The Hiddenite Center Lucas Mansion Gallery will feature the work of regional artist, Susan Powers. A resident of Lenoir, Powers is well known throughout the region and has exhibited across the foothills and Western North Carolina area.

In addition to her oil and acrylic paintings, Susan Powers, who is primarily a watercolorist, will showcase florals and lush landscapes in this mixed media exhibit. Her manipulation of these mediums is excellent, utilizing the transparency and lightness of watercolors to enhance spring themes. Much of Powers exhibited work will be available for purchase by collectors and art lovers alike.

The public is invited to attend a Meet the Artist reception, to be held in honor of Susan Powers, on Sunday, April 22, from 3:00 until 4:30 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend, enjoy seasonal refreshments, and discuss this delightful exhibit with the artist.

For more information about The Hiddenite Center, please visit www.hiddenitecenter.com call (828) 632-6966, or search Friends of the Hiddenite Center on facebook.
