The Mariposa School for Children with Autism is holding its 5th Annual Maripolooza Festival at Waverly Place on September 29, 2012 from 1-6pm.
Maripolooza is a FREE family-friendly festival featuring performances by local musical and performing arts groups, great food, children’s activities, a silent auction, various local arts and craft vendors and more. The festival is sponsored by Prime Pay, the Young Group of Fuquay, Gina Lorsson Design, and Mind the Gap.
The local bands and performing arts groups that will be performing at Maripolooza are: The Liam Turnage Band, Ira Planner, Mind the Gap Band, Willow Drive, the Super Skippers, The Jill Knox Band, and Gimme Shelter.
Proceeds from this year’s event will help add more technology to the school. In previous years, the festival has brought in between 800-1,000 people and raised a total of $3,000 from the silent auction alone.
