Guardian ad Litem Training for New Volunteers

Public Event · by seblack

Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012

We need volunteers! The Guardian ad Litem Program provides trained independent advocates to represent abused or neglected children in the state court system and to work towards a plan that ensures that these children are in homes that are both safe and permanent. The volunteer Guardian ad Litem is the voice of the child in court. At the end of August, there were 84 children in our area who did not have a GAL Volunteer.

GAL TRAINING for NEW VOLUNTEERS
Wednesday, October 17, 2012
(For Five Weeks)
9 AM to 1 PM at the new Wilkes County Courthouse

For more information about the GAL program in our area, please call (336) 651-4421. If you leave a message, please include your area code and phone number along with your address--either snail mail or email.
