The Small Business Center of Surry Community College will offer the free seminar �Business Considerations: Look Before You Leap� on Monday, May 7 from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the Yadkin Center located at 4649 US Hwy 601, Yadkinville. John Canosa, Vice-President of Surrey Bank and Trust, will be the presenter. During his career, Mr. Canosa has been awarded the Small Business Administration�s (SBA) Financial Services Champion of the Year for both North Carolina and Virginia.

This seminar will present the potential business owner with items to consider before hanging out the �OPEN� sign. Topics to be addressed include: how your business name can make or break you; researching your market; why the right location is a key to success; why a business plan is so important; and obtaining financing to start your venture. Many would-be entrepreneurs believe that their product or skill will sell itself, but this seminar will focus on the groundwork necessary to increase your chances of success.
